Group V V-Trans India Ltd., which was formerly known as Vijay Transport Co. was founded by late Shri Kunverji K. Shah, late Shri Vishanji K. Shah and brothers in 1958, who had ventured into the transport business as early as 1945. Vijay Transport started as a regional player with two trucks operating between Maharashtra and Gujarat. In 1996, the Company expanded into Southern India, later into Northern, Central and then Eastern India.
Presently V-Trans is a prominent logistics service provider having 325 plus branches in more than 20 states and is truly a national level player. We have ambitious plans of opening branches in all other states where we do not have a presence as of now.
In 2001-02, after a major corporate makeover Vijay Transport Company became V-Trans India Ltd. with two additional divisions, V-Xpress, an Express Division, and V-Logis, a Logistics Division; under the umbrella of ‘Group V’. While V-Trans takes care of the customer’s Hard Freight transportation needs, V-Xpress manages Express Cargo (Surface & Air) and V-Logis provides Customized Warehousing and Inventory Management Solutions, thus becoming the customer’s single window solution provider.
